I have been doing literacy centers in my classroom for several years. Last year I tried some new ones and changed the name to Work Stations. I got many of my ideas from Debbie Diller's book "Literacy Work Stations". You can get more information from her website, http://www.debbiediller.com. Below you find the work stations I have. As the new school year begins I will post some pictures of the students working at the centers.

I Can Signs These are signs that are displayed at the Work Stations that tell the students what type of activities they can do there. The activities and signs can be changed throughout the year. These are the signs I plan to use at the beginning of the year.
